From 3rd July 2016, issuers of securities accepted for trading in the regulated market as well as issuers of securities introduced into the alternative system of trading will be obligated to apply the provisions of the Regulation of the European Parliament and Council (UE) no. 596/2014 of 16th April 2014 concerning market abuse (‘MAR’). The regulation will replace the existing provisions of the Polish law, which constitute the implementation of Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and Council of 28th January 2003 on insider dealing and market manipulation. As a consequence of MAR coming into effect, it is necessary to repeal the Polish legal provisions in this respect. MAR regulation is supplemented with delegated and implementing acts adopted by the European Commission.
